Favorites of Class

My favorite parts of class were the lectures where the instructor tried to broaden our horizens on the way we thought. Even though I might not have been the most vocal participant, it doesn't mean that I wasn't paying attention. I do admit, it is difficult after working such strange hours for when the lights go out to keep my eyes open, however, I was paying attention whenever the instructor was talking. Like I said, I might not have been the most vocal, however, it was me trying to soak everything in. When I had something to say, I went ahead and said it in class. It wasn't because I am shy or cared if others thought I was stupid, it was only because I did not know anything about the subject at hand and was learning something new, or that I was trying to comprehend the new concept being introduced to me.

In all, I believed that this course was very interesting. Now when the lights were turned off and we were using our different senses, I believed that this was a very cool idea.

I loved this class and plan to be crashing several of the future semesters classes just because I know that this course can always be taken a different direction and plus I might still be inspired to do more interesting things in the future because of it.

Final Class (Class 12) Review

This class was the final meeting that we were going to have as a class. In this class, we viewed the final projects of the other classmates. I did believe that most of these were pretty well done, however there was one that stuck in my mind. This person did their project using video and had a split screen with almost the same image but with completely different footage depicting the same guy's morning routine, but except on a different day. In one the man is waiting at the crosswallk where the other the man goes across and gets hit by the bus. this was a very moving project and I recommend that he enter it into some competitions. This last class has given me many ideas on what I can use and what mediums I can use to express my thoughts for future projects.

Final Project

Below was supposed to be the video/animatic that I had originally planned to get onto my blog. I am going to still try to create the link and upload the video to a certain site, if not this blog, for the viewing pleasure to be there whenever someone would like to see it. Once again, the video is on my flash drive for if it is not possible to actually get it on a link for you before class tonight.

5 Favorite Questions

Here are my 5 favorite "What If" questions that I received.

18. What if all the eggs disappeared at once?
21. What if blood came out of all the eggs?
35. What if some of the eggs were blind folded?
42. What if there was a grave scene after the middle egg was shot?
49. What if you could make the illusion that the eggs were trying to escape?

I like the first one because then it would give the illusion that the eggs had escaped through some sort of magical reason.

The second one I like because with eggs, all you have to do is break them and it appears as if they are actually bleeding.

I like the blindfolding of the eggs because to me that would be hysterical, since the eggs do not have eyes in the first place. You can go so many different directions with this one, especially humor.

The forth one just gives closure to the egg being shot, and in most films, I like for them to have closure.

And finally, the last "what if" question just seems to have a happy ending, which is what I usually like to experience after a film of any sort.

Favorite blog with What IF Game

My favorite submission was when Alrick did the perception video where he thought that the person was saying "Flouride" in the video. He the made his own lyrics up to the song and made a music video of his own that was hilarious. I found this to be the most entertaining blog out there because it made me laugh so hard. I thought it was creative, especially his own lyrics and well put together like an actual music video might look.

This is the link to Alrick's blog where you can find his video.

Contrast

Ok, I'm finally back. After the storms that have been going through the area over the past few weeks, we still do not have an internet connection at my home. I have therefore been forced to finally bring my computer to work with me and jack onto the wifi that is available through work. Since this is just office hours, I am finally able to get online and get my posts posted online.

This post is about the project where we were supposed to pick up random objects around the campus and show the contrast between them. What me and my group picked up was all found on campus itself and we made it into something that represented life and death. The flower, which is full of life, is in contrast with the leaf which has wilted away and there is no more life in it. Also, the roughness of the branches and the smooth/fluffiness of the socks are in contrast with eachother.
